Alec Grabowski, President

Alec-Grabowski_SAMC.jpgAlec Grabowski, MBA, MHA, joined OSF HealthCare Saint Anthony Medical Center as president in April 2025.

In his position, Alec leads OSF Saint Anthony in aligning with the overall strategy of OSF HealthCare. He is responsible for directing all internal operations while continuing to ensure that high-quality and cost-effective health care is delivered to our patients, who we are blessed to serve. Alec carries forward a culture of collaboration and integration that provides a safe Mission Partner and patient care environment.

Alec has over 15 years of health care career experience, having served at the senior executive level for the past eight years. He brings a strong record of operational success, excellent relational skills and a passion for building highly effective care teams.

Alec most recently served as network chief executive officer. In his role, he oversaw a three-hospital system, including Lake Norman, Davis Regional Medical Center and Davis Psychiatric Hospital, and an extensive outpatient network spanning three counties in metro Charlotte, North Carolina.

Alec earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia. He went on to earn a Master of Healthcare Administration and a Master of Business Administration from Georgia State University.

Darlene Evans, Vice President, Chief Nursing Officer

Darlene EvansDarlene Evans, MSN, MSM, RN, NEA-BC, joined OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center as vice president, chief nursing officer in late fall of 2025. 

In her position, Darlene is accountable for leading nursing operations to achieve Key Results and drive superior clinical outcomes. Darlene is the lead site executive responsible for patient experience working with other leaders to accomplish this goal. 

Darlene most recently served as associate chief nurse officer for the University of Illinois Chicago for the past 6 years and has been a chief nurse executive for more than 10 years. Darlene has also served as an executive leader for Quality and Patient Safety, helping drive quality improvements across multiple facilities. 

Darlene earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Troy University in Troy, Alabama, where she also earned a Master of Science in Management and a Master of Science in Nursing. She is currently working on completing a Master of Science in Human Resource Management and a Doctor of Nursing Practice also from Troy University. 

Jedediah Cantrell, Vice President, Operations and Special Projects

OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center  Administration  Jedediah  Cantrell  Portrait Jedediah Cantrell, FACHE, MBA, joined OSF HealthCare Saint Anthony Medical Center as vice president of Operations and Special Projects in March of 2022.

In her role, Jedediah is accountable for planning, directing, evaluating and improving the operations of OSF Saint Anthony. She also leads several key projects that are critical to the future success and growth of the medical center.

Jedediah has more than 30 years of health care and leadership experience. She came to OSF from UW Health SwedishAmerican Hospital in Rockford where she most recently served as vice president of Operations and president of the Realty Corporation.

Jedediah earned a Bachelor of Science in health information management from Illinois State University. She went on to complete an executive Master of Business Administration in leadership from Bradley University.

Kerry Hill, Chief Financial Officer

Kerry HillKerry Hill became chief financial officer at OSF HealthCare Saint Anthony Medical Center in December, 2016.

In his role he is responsible for providing leadership to the people and processes that support and drive business performance at OSF Saint Anthony. He also provides entity-level financial analysis, monitors the productivity of assets and resources, and monitors and advises the medical center team on unit costs and total cost of care.

Before joining OSF Saint Anthony, Kerry served as the chief financial officer for Vista Health System and also held a role of corporate vice president of finance at Rockford Health System.

He received his bachelor’s degree in aeronautical science from Embry-Riddle University in Daytona Beach, Florida. He also earned his master’s degree in Business Administration from Rockford College (now Rockford University).

Kerry has more than 20 years of work experience in the health care field in and around Rockford.
