Who to Refer
OSF Children’s Hospital’s pediatric ground transport program is dedicated to safely transferring critically ill children who need urgent or specialized medical care.
If your patient needs these services, refer them to our expert team:
- Hemodynamic monitoring and support
- Intravenous and intraosseous insertion and management
- Invasive monitoring to measure vitals
- IV and catheterization access
- Non-invasive and invasive ventilation

Providers can connect with our transport team 24/7 via our dedicated referral line or through Epic.

Please have the following information ready for referral:
- Patient’s name, birthdate, medical record number (if transfer is within OSF)
- Ground or air (air transport provided by OSF Life Flight)
- Destination unit: intensive care or intermediate care
