Visiting a Patient

At OSF HealthCare Saint Katharine Medical Center, we know how much your presence means to a loved one who is in the hospital. Here is a quick look at essential information that you, as a visitor, need to know.

  • Visiting hours are 8 a.m.-8 p.m.
  • Entrance hours:
    • Door #1 hours: Monday-Friday from 6 a.m.-6 p.m.
    • Door #4 hours: Monday-Friday from 6 a.m.-6 p.m., Saturday-Sunday from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
    • Emergency Department: Open 24/7
  • After visiting hours are over, 6 p.m. on weekdays and 4 p.m. on weekends, visitors should enter and exit through the OSF Saint Katharine Emergency Department. It is recommended to park in the Commerce Towers parking lot. 
  • To ensure the well-being of our patients, some units, such as our ICU, may limit visitation.
  • Visitation for certain patients may be limited based on their individual needs. Please check with the unit where your friend or loved one is a patient before visiting.
  • OSF Saint Katharine is a smoke-free campus for its patients, staff and visitors.
  • People with colds, sore throats or any contagious diseases should refrain from visiting.
